The company have stayed in Lincoln but their relocation to larger premises at the Pelham Centre has meant that they now have significantly more room for displays of flooring, blinds and curtains as well as carpets. The new premises are 2,182 square feet in size which is approximately double the size of the company's old showroom.
Simon Croft, the owner of Crofts Carpets, said that the increase in size was part of the appeal of the new premises plus the fact that they are situated in a prime location on a busy main road. He added that the parking facilities that are available for customers was also a factor in his decision to move as was the fact that the new premises were in very good condition and Crofts Carpets were able to move straight in without the need for any redevelopment.
The company have apparently been considering a relocation in Lincoln for some time and had been looking for suitable new premises. Mr Croft stated that the move had been a seamless transition and he was looking forward to welcoming customers into the new showroom.
Crofts Carpets have agreed a ten year lease for the new premises which were previously occupied by Uniform Direct and which is located between Elixir bathrooms and Portland Tools. Ben Silcock who is a surveyor at Lambert Smith Hampton, the company who were responsible for brokering the deal on behalf of the landlords Howtin Investments, stated that his company had been pleased to assist Croft Carpets with their relocation.
He added that Croft Carpets were a well known retailer within Lincoln and the new premises at the Pelham Centre were ideal for their growing business needs.
