Ellandi, owners of the Swan Centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire, have just confirmed earlier this month that significant high-street fashion brand H&M was to open a store in the gallery later this year. The deal includes a 15 year lease. The Swedish company is should start the rehabilitation work this summer, with a grand opening at the end of the year.
"The new H&M store will be an amazing addition to the Centre, it will be fantastic for our shoppers and also underlines the significance of Eastleigh as a retail destination" said Swan Centre Manager Daniel Kitchen, adding that "There is some serious work to be done to create a unit to meet the size and design H&M require and we will be asking our shoppers’ to be patient with the temporary disruption."
H&M's store, located opposite Ernest Jones, will occupy two floors, offering a 17,000 sq foot shopping space, and feature a glass façade. This major addition to Eastleigh's shopping gallery also means the creation of 30 full and part time jobs.
