Monsoon made its first appearance in London in 1973, thanks to founder Peter Simon. The colorful and creative character of the brand was inspired to him while travelling across India. When he came back from this journey, he wanted to express what he saw and felt through his women apparel. That's why Monsoon clothes have that special handmade, authentic and exotic touch. In the same spirit, Peter Simon created Accessorize in 1984, a hight-street jewellery, bag and shoes retailer. Monsoon was then declined into several brands, such as Home in 1999 or Bridal three years ago. The company is an active member of the Ethical Trading Initiative and received the Queen's Award in Enterprise for International Trade in 2007.
Monsoon Children started in 1995, adapting its bright and distinctive identity for babies, girls and boys up to 13 years. Today we welcome Storm for “older” girls, aged from 8 to 14, that tricky time when you're not a little girl any more and you want your own bath suit and a nice dress to wear for a special occasion, not kids stuff. The Storm by Monsoon line is not a very large collection yet, but it offers really nice pieces. Cheerful beachwear, pretty dresses for an event, casual clothes for every day, and all the accessories needed to complete the outfits. You really should find your (or your teen's) happiness in this range.
