The roots of the Aldi chain can be traced back to 1913 - a small store called ‘Albrecht’ in Germany. As the chain developed, the company eventually split in two, with brothers Theo and Karl Albrecht operating their own versions of Aldi in North and South Germany. Since the split in 1966, ‘Aldi Markt’ and ‘Aldi Sud’ have been legally… read more about Aldi

There is no contact for this store which I find a little odd. So this is my medium of contact. I bought a Farmhouse Batch superseeded loaf and fond a hair in one of the slices not very pleasant at all. i look forward to a reply re this complaint Thank you Lynn Jones

On my first visit I browsed and considered prices then purchased £88+ of items, all fine, waited in queue for a little while, then packed them into my car. What I didn't realise was the time spent on this and have just had a parking line for 12minutes over time.If you are doing a big shop an hour and half is not long enough.I shouldn't need to be clock watching.

When I went to do my usual large weekly shop today, 26th March, I was quite taken aback to find that pretty well every category of food had been relocated within the store. I couldn't believe that Aldi would be so regardless of their regular customers' needs, i.e. to be able go shop quickly and efficiently in the shortest possible time. It took me at least an extra 20 minutes to do my shopping today and was a tiring experience having to push an increasingly heavy trolley around the store searching for the usual goods. Placing all the fresh produce just inside the entrance caused a trolley blockage. I now dread going for my next visit instead of looking forward to it as previously. BIG BLACK MARK ALDI !

Ed the manager of this store gave me exceptional service on Tuesday. I was doing a small shop so only had a basket which was full when I came upon Ed stacking compost , which I wanted to purchase, but only having a basket was unable to do so myself. Ed immediately suggested I leave my basket asking an assistant to keep an eye on it, then he put two bags of compost on his shoulders I paid at his till and he transported them to my car. Ed has a can do attitude.......he found an answer to the problem by volunteering himself, was polite efficient and personable. I am a lady pensioner and gardner and would like to express my thanks to Ed. First class service thank you. J Dulieu
