This shop used to be fantastic years ago with lots of designer departments. It has continued to go down hill year after year when now it is almost full of cheap high street labels that you can get anywhere. I hardly ever buy anything in store anymore or at the Oxford Street branch which is even worse/

I strongly object that to contact House of Fraser Guildford by telephone the dialing code is 0844 where as to ring a Guildford number the code is 0843. the 0844 code is more expensive, I can find no reason to justify this procedure. Sincerely Ann Purslow

We went to the Tea Terrace last Sunday, 20thAugust, hoping for a decent cup of tea and scones. We arrived at 4pm after noting that the store closes at 5pm, so we thought there would be enough time. The waitress pointed out repeatedly that the store closed at 5pm, but showed us to a table. We had hardly sat down when another waitress came to take our order so we asked for tea and scones for four people. We could hardly understand what the waitress said, but eventually discovered that we could not order scones only cake, in spite of the fact that another table was being served with them. So we ordered cup cakes, but there was only one sort available which we did not want. The dark haired waitress was extremely rude and irritable and warned us that we had to pay immediately 'as the store closed at 5pm.' We chose lemon drizzle cake instead which was nice enough, but felt extremely harassed and left at 4.50pm. The Tea Terrace still had a number of customers eating and drinking. An expensive waste of money and I wished we had all gone to the Cafe Nero on the first floor, where there is service with a smile and comfortable chairs. Why employ waitresses who obviously hate their job.

The Tea Terrace was a great disappointment! Service was spasmodic to say the least, there seemed as if there was not enough staff, the bread the sandwiches were made of was definitely stale and who leaves crusts on them anyway, this is supposed to be a refined tea room!! The cake was the those packaged slices you receive on aircraft, sponge should be light and fluffy, not leaden, all in all not a great experience!

Will there be any more discount days before Christmas?

Good afternoon On Friday 7th July I arranged to meet and treat two of my daughters and their two small children for a bit to eat and drinks. I had never been into The Tea Terrace. Having ordered Salmon & Cream Cheese and two rounds of BLT sandwiches, they arrived. I found my bread was very dry, the bacon was over cooked and the salad lacked any dressing [none offered]. When I went to pay I was asked if everything was ok. I identified what was wrong and all the young lady Kristina said was - "We are changing the supplier". Payment was made including the Gratuity, no fuss was made so as not to spoil our lunch. [07-07-2017 12:45 473795] Barry Jutsum

re a previous comment about your wretched phone number it is worse than the lady said. The system puts one in a continuous loop which eats up the customer's time and bank balance.
