Poor experience staff were poor to middling in restaurant s in Edinburgh the staff are far more helpful .in Edinburgh the coffee are free to card holders which I thought was company wide .,staff here say no ,they just didn't want to know the restaurant was not busy and they could have been more pleasant .in the rest of store where we bought other items our experience was good

I think I have left a bag of HMV cds in your Men's Department and I cannot get hold of anyone to talk to so I can report my shopping left behind at store closing time. We were being hurried out of the shop and I accidentally left my HMV purchases in your store. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CONTACT ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT YOU HAVE THEM AND I WILL COME AND PICK THEM UP TOMORROW, TUESDAY MORNING. no one is answering your phone despite 'a man' saying WE WILL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY AND YOU ARE NOT! MY TELEPHONE NUMBER IS: 01483-893016. it is my fault I suppose but we were being hurried out of your store, but I spent ages choosing Christmas presents and now I can't speak to anyone to see if I left them in your store which I am sure I did. No wonder Debenhams are not doing well........ an o844 tel no is not friendly and thus puts me right off doing what I want to find out before I get to the store. Will not bother, I will carry on with my search in other shops that I can ring without the company making money out of me before I step throught the door.

Your customer service is appalling. I have now tried 3 times to phone this store today. Each time I have waited for over 10mins! Working people do not have that time to spare to find out if you have a product in stock! Neither do I want to drive 100 miles to find out.You should have a direct line to your store as your competitors do. I'm sure I'm not the only person who gives up and goes elsewhere.

Car locked in Debenhams car park! Got back to car to find gate closed.. Scouted around and found a sign hanging from ceiling saying car park closed 15 mins after store closure. I was 30 minutes late back to find gates closed and unable to get hold of duty manager on mobile phone. Resulting in being stuck in Guildford! :(

Jenny on the home department, was friendly , polite and very helpful.. I was greeted with a smile and a good morning and made me feel very welcome. I made an appointment for my 88 year old mother-in-law with Val, a personal shopper as we needed to get her a suitable outfit for a grandson's wedding. Val was marvellous and obviously knew her stock. The whole experience was wonderful and we ended up buying two wedding outfits both of which my mother-in-law is thrilled with. I really can't recommend this service highly enough. It's definitely the way to shop. Many thanks Val.

I want to order a pack of 3 Espionage y-front briefs size XXXL from Debenhams Guildford. I tried to place the order over the internet but cannot fathom how to do so. There needs to be a vast improvement to facilitate customers' orders.

I would just like to say that I have found the customer service at Debenhams Guildford second to none particualry a lovely lady called Susan in the Business Support section. My husband received a parkng fine from the company who now own/run the cark park underneath the Debenhams building having overstayed his ticket time by 8 minutes. She intervened on his behalf and managed to have the fine cancelled and was so lovely in the process. However she did warn that the cark park company will only agree to cancellation in certain circumstances and parkers need to be aware that the car park is electronically monitored and parking times are strictly adhered to. Parkers are allowed 15 minutes to pak and pay for a ticket but must be OUT of the car park by their ticket expiry time.

I have also just received a parking fine from Debenhams GUILDFORD. I remember waiting more than 10 minutes for a space and was also stuck behind another one waiting. I entered their car park at 1.18pm, probably managed to park about 1.20pm and left their car park about 2.25pm. I was not parked in a marked parking bay for an hour yet I got a parking fine for £60.00!!! I am sending a letter off today to ask for proof of parking. I have heard of 4 separate cases of this now....This has got to stop!!!!!

Edit: Sorry was ment to say I got parked about 1.30pm not 1.20pm!!! I have asked for proof of me parking in a marked a bay for the hour. Watch this space!!!

I parked in Debenhams car park in Guildford on 7/11/15 and displayed my ticket as required. I have now received a £100 fine, stating 'payment was not made in accordance with terms displayed on signage'. Having waited to speak to Customer Services about the matter for 25 minutes on the phone, they could only give me a number to contact the store directly. The person I spoke to was very pleasant. After speaking to a very nice man at the store, he told me that Debenhams have nothing to do with the Car Park. He did kindly email the company for me with my concern. This means that the company Civil Enforcement can make these charges without any 3rd party protection for customers. Whilst the machine data could prove that a ticket was purchased via the car registration, the company have sole control over the data in the machine. The fines are issued electronically. The information on my parking charge showed an entry time of 11:21:46 and exit at 12:22:19. I was 31 seconds over the hour! As you may know, if you have tried to park there, exiting can be very slow! I sought some legal advice on this and was told to ignore any such charge penalty, as it is not enforceable. I advise you to do the same, if you have received a similar charge.

Following on from my entry yesterday in regard to a £100 parking charge for overstaying by 31 seconds in the car park, a very helpful member of staff emailed Civil Enforcement on my behalf. As a result of his intervention, the parking charge was dropped. I was very grateful and relieved at this outcome. Car Park users need to be aware, that parking charges are issued electronically on exiting the car park.

Debenhams Parking Service charges are run by cowboys! Careful with using their parking service. My wife used their parking, paid for a parking ticket and displayed it on the dashboard, in the car. She received a parking charge notice of £100 saying she did not have a ticket from parking enforcement in Liverpool. I presume most dispose of their parking ticket after leaving parking sites but luckily my wife had kept hers weeks after. I imagine many have had to pay fines since they can not provide evidence as they can't provide their tickets. I am especially outraged since my wife has paid for her parking and can imagine people would be furious for being forced to have no choice but to pay an INVALID FINE. DO NOT PARK AT THIS COWBOY RUN CAR PARK - They are putting people in a position by forcing them to pay INVALID FINES. This is exploitation, stealing people's money. Please spread awareness about this. I hope the Surrey ad picks up on this and exposes these cowboys. I wonder what cut Debenhams is getting for the fines.

Michael R - exactly the same issue ref a parking fine despite barriers being up (on entry and exits) and no parking ticket issued by machine on entry. Occured on Nov 7th at 3.30pm. Have just received a parking fine for £100! Will be visiting store in person to obtain proof/log of when barriers were not working.

A terrible experience. I only found lots of small size or XXXL items. I found no clothes that were displayed on their website. No staff to ask questions and to top it off I got a £60 car parking fine due to parking in their own car park. The barrier was up and no ticket given. There was no pay machine visible either so I presumed it was a free day for parking as there was no way for me to pay. I will NEVER enter one of their shite stores again. Massive thumbs down!
