I Went to argos bedminster today to buy item I had reserved i put my card in the reader but it came bk unorthrised (not invaild pin and card stolen) I said there must be a problem with the reader as there was money in there but on trying again and the same thing happened i said i would go to the cash point and get the money out and get a balance) witch i did could only withdraw daily limit (£250 item was £400) so i went bk in to pay with cash and other bit on the card and explain there was money in the bank and it must of been their reader so i went to another till this time to be served by a jobs worth called nikki I went to place the card I was buying my items with on the card reader before I could do so the card was snatched from my hand and she looked at it she then informs me she is taking my card because it had a mans name on (brother stood next to me so assumed it wasn't his without even checking) it was infact my husbands card but she didn't know this at the time it could of been my brothers stood next to me!! I told her it was my husbands And i also had his driving licence and something with my married name on I have used his card for about the last 12 years! I told her she couldn't just take a card witch she replied I can!! She told me I would half to get my husband to come and bring some id (witch was in my purse!) to get his card bk witch she has stolen out my hand and taken and out my sight (bearing in mind her work friend had seen me put in my pin twice the first time I went in!! This is stated to her!! for her to say she could destroy the card!! I phoned 101 to see if this was correct as im sure noone is allowed to leave your sight woth a card (if she throught it was stolen to witch im only guessing surely the police should of been called!! not the card taken and us left to be on our way had we chosen to?? They told me she could properly take my card as it had a mans name on witch she just assumed wasn't my brother!! But being the case the cashier next to me had seen me enter the pin twice I should ask to see the manager to take the card from her this I done to be told by her she was a line manager!! And the only person I could talk to! (Surly there was someone above her) but she left front desk and took the card with her I had to phone my husband who had to arrange someone to sit with our 6 children so he could come over the other side of town to collect a card she had no right to take let alone steel it had now been in her hands for the last hour out of my sight (I never left the store until my husband got there) id been in store over a hour as he came in he asked for the lady that had taken his card funny she was on her lunch break (what with our card) so again waited for 10 minutes till she returned so I had to passed my husbands Id from my purse to him for him to show her for us to be able to get his card bk! She was rude and power hungry and she took something witch didnt belong to her I will be writing a formal letter of complaint and looking into actions that should of been taken!! Ill never set foot in this store again!! what a waste of a day spent with a incompident power hungry floor manger!! customer service shocking!!!
